Our programme is being funded by the UK Government Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and is part of the “Level 3 Entitlement” Adult Education Budget funding to support younger people achieve the above outcomes.

Tech and Digital skills are a priority on a both regional and national level as is the drive to improve social mobility to help more people into work or provide opportunities for career progression. This is especially true in the wake of the disruption caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

What is Digitial Transformation?

Digital Transformation is the use of new, fast-paced and frequently changing digital technologies to solve problems in organisations. Employers are looking to adopt these technologies to compete effectively in the marketplace of the 21st century.

As certain jobs are becoming obsolete, new skills are needed and new opportunities are appearing – it is down to you to take on and develop new skills that the job market is now needs!

Who is eligible to sign up for this programme?

This programme is for learners who are aged between 19 + who where they will work to achieve their City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma for ICT Systems and Principles for IT Professionals.

You must fit the following eligibility criteria:

  • You must have been aged 19 or over on 31/08/2021
  • If you do not have a Level 3 Qualification, you are eligible for the Level 3 Programme. If you do have a Level 3 or higher Qualification, you can engage with the Level 2 programme as a means to reskill or upskill for a new tech and digital role or to add new tech and digital responsibilities to your current job
    • A full Level 3 is equal to x2 A Level passes, x2 BTECs, x1 BTEC Extended Diploma or a Level 3 Apprenticeship
  • You are not able to engage with this programme, and another Government funded educational programme at the same time. This is called “Double Funding”
  • You will need to live in the counties of Worcestershire, Herefordshire or Gloucestershire

Learners will achieve either their Level 2 or Level 3 City & Guilds Diploma for ICT Systems and Principles for IT Professionals and with support achieve a new Tech and Digital Job or new Tech and Digital responsibilities in their current role.

As this programme accesses UK Government funding, there is a strong requirement for commitment from learners to achieve the outcomes of the Diploma and to work towards a tech and digital job. Learners must be available to attend all the Training Days, Workshops and Coaching sessions and to do the wider work and reading set by their coaches

What does the programme consist of and what are the commitments?

Each programme consists of:

  • Classroom teaching days on the Core Modules and the Pathway
  • Prep and Application Tasks done away from the classroom, guided by TDM coaches with access to learning materials on TDM’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
  • “On track” calls with coaches – 30 mins per week

By the end of the programme, you will achieve a recognised City and Guilds Qualification.

Commitments

You are expected to attend all of the sessions.

You will be expected to do wider reading outside the classroom, accessing learning materials on TDM’s Virtual Learning Environment and books from the TDM library.

Classroom days will mainly consist of taught elements in the morning with assignments written in the afternoons. An ability to effectively write about the learning you have engaged with is essential on the programme.

How much does it cost?

The Get Ahead in Digital Transformation programme is being funded by the UK Government Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and there is no charge for eligible learners.

It is part of the Adult Education Budget funding to support adults achieve the qualification outcomes and either gain employment or reskill in their current roles. 

How do I sign up and what is the sign up process?

Once you have completed the expression of interest form, the next steps in the process are:

  • We’ll send across our pre-enrolment form which allows us to make sure you are eligible for the programme.
  • If you are eligible to take part in the programme, we will invite you to an applicant day where you will complete a number of initial assessments, which help us to assess where you are at as a learner.
  • Once these initial assessments are completed, you will be sent a sign-up form in order to obtain the remaining information required for your place on the programme.

Our applicant days for the programme, will run on Tuesdays.
