Trainer Development Courses

Individual sessions, short programmes or longer-term courses available

Derrin has trained over 500 people to become trainers in variuous contexts. Derrin has a passion for training and loves sharing that passion, and his good practice ideas and techiques, with anyone else who shares his enthusiasm!!

Derrin delivers the following Trainer Development Courses:


All of these courses are designed to be delivered as a full one-day programme (4 x 1.5 hours) which is followed up by a consolidatory programme of online learning. Each of them, however, can also be condensed into a shorter delivery period OR combined with other courses from this and The Development Manager's other course categories (click the links in the right hand column) in order to extend into longer programmes of delivery.

Train the Trainer
This is a highly effective, introductory capacity-building programme for those who have to deliver training in face-to-face group settings.
Facilitating online learning with Moodle
It takes much more than teaching skills to know how to use the Moodle VLE to its maximum potential. This programme will serve as an introduction to some of the skills required for effective online learning facilitation.
Adult Learning Psychology
This session equips trainers with a detailed background understanding of adult learning psychology theories as well as a revitlised approach to adult learning facilitation.
Teaching for Understanding
This session introduces a cutting edge, dynamic approach to instructional design which ensures really effective learning really takes place.
