Derrin has a happy, confident training room presence and loves encouraging others to his share his passion and enthusiasm for the learning material he delivers. He has native-speaker-like proficiency in the Spanish language and is a highly experienced and confident languages teacher.

In the West Midlands only, The Development Manager offers Spanish Language Courses, Spanish<>English Translation and an Interpreting Service:

Derrin Kent is a fluent Spanish Speaker and is happy to lend his Spanish skills as a service in the West Midlands region

Derrin Kent has lived in Spain for seven years and in Peru for three years. Derrin's wife, Elizabeth, is Peruvian and Derrin's family use Spanish as their preferred language for everyday discourse at home.

Derrin is a highly experienced languages teacher (though he has usually taught English overseas rather than Spanish in the UK). You don't learn Spanish in a day, so, in the West Midlands only, Derrin can be available for weekly, or twice weekly Spanish lessons, on an ongoing basis, in your own place of work.

Many employers like to provide langauge classes for their staff simply due to the team-building benefits derived from a collective focus on a topic outside of their normal working focuses. Spanish language classes with Derrin are lightearted, communicative and fun at the same time as being really effective in building your language skills. This IS always, though, a small element of self-study demand - stretching your staff to learn and prove they can improve themselves.

Derrin learned his Spanish through a combination of formal study and living his everyday life for over twelve years in Spanish-speaking environments. Derrin's own Spanish is now comfortable, communicative and usually accurate - to the point that his pronunciation of Spanish no longer receives much praise from native Spanish speakers - they just talk to him and don't really notice the fact that he is a foreigner.

Neither Derrin nor Elizabeth are qualified as translators but, they do regularly do translation work for private clients and are currently working on a translation project for a book on Moodle with Packt publishing. Derrin's web design skills strengthen the demand for his help as a webpages translator.
